It is a stack of small decisions that either respect a thumb on a small screen or fight it. This checklist is what we actually run when we audit a site. No vague advice. Every item is something you can check today and fix this week.<\/p>\n<p>Work top to bottom. Speed first, because slow pages lose users before any other issue gets a chance to matter.<\/p>\n<h2>Speed: win the first three seconds<\/h2>\n<p>Users leave slow pages. That is the whole story. A phone on a spotty connection is not your fast office WiFi, so test like the user, not like a developer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Measure on a real device.<\/strong> Open your page on a mid-range Android phone over mobile data. Not simulated. Not throttled Chrome on desktop. The real thing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Compress every image.<\/strong> Serve modern formats like WebP or AVIF.
